After exhausting my Pinterest efforts in search for a exceptional shower/facial steam, I stumbled upon a pin that let me to an appealing website entitled ClementineDaily.com. Check out this quick recipe for a 5 minute refresher to soften skin, revitalize your senses, and moisten your dry winter-skin!
With summer wrapping up, chances are you a) could use a facial to free your pores of dirt, oil and sweat; and b) have an abundance of herbs in the garden or widow sill. Solve both by treating yourself to a good, old-fashioned steam – in just five minutes! Here’s our favorite recipe:
Heat a few cups of water until almost boiling. Meanwhile, wash you face.
Transfer water to a large bowl and add a handful of fresh herbs. Whatever you have on hand will do, but mint, basil and rosemary are particularly refreshing and astringent.
Cover your head with a towel and lean over bowl for five minutes – or until steam dissipates. Breathe deeply and relax.
